quirkysmuse: (petrelliot3)
I don't normally do these things at my writing journal, but since Tiffany tagged me...might as well!

Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

1. Heroes - Girl in the Painting - Claire/Isaac, rated M. This fic is one of my favorites because I really liked this pairing even though these character never met, but I really wanted to explore Isaac's connection with Claire as the painter who predicted her death. It's severly AU, and despite Isaac being one of few characters that had a good death scene, I kept him alive for Claire's sake.

2. Heroes - Becoming Petrelli - Claire/Peter/Nathan - This is possibly my favorite fic I've ever written for the Heroes series. It's been terribly difficult to top this fic. One afternoon I just sat down at my computer and wrote all 8000 words of this seductive and gothic perception I had of the Petrelli family and then, with Claire's initiation into it.

3. Inuyasha - Like Rain in Paris - Mrs. Higurashi/Naraku - I really adore this story. It is not your typical Inuyasha story, and it's definitely not something I typically wrote. Yet, I loved how unlike the anime it was, and as I wrote it, I felt as though the characters were flesh and blood instead of animated, that such a rare character like Mrs. Higurashi could be so lonely and yearned to feel the pleasures of being a woman so much that she's let this darkness take her over. I love the ending. It's abrupt, incomplete, and leaves a wrenching feeling in your gut.

4. Harry Potter - Moon-shade Realm - Remus/Petunia - This my first HP fic, and it's still my favorite. I have a soft spot for this just because I don't think Petunia was necessarily as bad as people perceived her. This was my rendition of why she was so bitter against magical types, and I enjoyed weaving a story around it about being an outcast. I found tying her to Remus was enduring, and writing this made ME like Petunia better.

5. Moonlight/Heroes Crossover - Spark - Elle/Josef - I wrote this before Elle even came onto the scene in Season Two. I was coming off Veronica Mars misery, and I read every spoiler I could about Elle and filled what holes that were there with who Kristen Bell was. I thought that what little I knew from Josef, since Moonlight had just started, and what little I knew about Elle came out wonderfully here, and it is nicely nostalgic of Veronica Mars. I don't write a lot of crossovers but this one really gave me some confidence in writing more.

I tag anyone to do this! It's fun, but it's hard to pick five. =)
