Interesting stuff. His love was always the driving force behind everything that he did. At the end he realized that for all his power the Jewel would not give him the one thing he wanted, the heart of Kikyou. RT was asked if Naraku could have been redeemed. She thought it might be possible. She does seem to believe in universal redemption.
All one needs do is accept their humanity. Inuyasha has a monologue when they are in the jewel in which he says that he and Naraku both had choices to make about the jewel. He implies that if Naraku had not chosen the path that he did that things might not have ended as they did. I liked the idea that Inuyasha and Naraku both had opportunity to be redeemed.
