Naraku/Kikyou:

It didn’t matter how many times they joined; neither of their hearts ever beat, but Naraku knew they were both still alive by the way her body arched to the touch of his cold, slippery hands.


I especially like this one, the idea that neither has a heart to beat. Lovely concept!
