Summary: No matter how long it has been, their love still feels new.



Each time he comes home she remains beautiful and new, and she still fills his heart, just as she did when he sank his teeth into her and made her his own.

Sometimes he feels regretful, but she assures him she’s happy. She doesn’t need to give birth like human women. He gives her the children she wants. It’s enough; their love is enough.

When their son finds his mate, they feel older for a second, but he meets her eyes and they both realize that some things won’t change.

That an old love like theirs can still feel new.

I haven't read any of the Twilight books and my thirteen year old cousin has been trying to get me to. I did, however, see the movie and really wanted to see more about Carlisle and Esme. I think this is a beautiful drabble about their relationship... Love can always feel and be new! Great concept! :)
