Summary: She's doing all the things she said she wouldn't do.

It's happening.

The warm light of her flashforward keeps beckoning her to take every step in line to that final fruition. She'll wake up with Lloyd Simcoe sharing her bed. She will know his warmth, and she'll be happy.

She's told him she's scared. She pulls from his lips and leaves his house knowing she'll be back. She's gone against her word that she will not destroy her marriage. However, some things are just impossible to avoid.

Fate doesn't need to twist her arm that much tighter. She's already yielded to Lloyd, and this love has already begun to burn like the hazy warm light of their bedroom in those months ahead. But those months aren't so far off anymore.

She kisses Charlie for Mark, but all she can think about is Lloyd, and how they were brought together to the park (not by fate, but by their children - who knew they were old enough to scheme?). She rests on her bed (their bed soon) closes her eyes and hugs the pillow to her face, and the memory of Lloyd's lips lingers over hers. She feels like a fool. She's not trying hard enough, and maybe the opportunity is already gone.

Why didn't you just run away with me, Mark? She stops, and she feels ashamed that she's still trying to blame Mark for this.

Olivia realizes this is all her doing. She knows that scary place inside her heart that already loves Lloyd, and she can't turn from him even if she still wants to. Lloyd is perfect for her, and she's the perfect disaster.

She's becoming the wife she said she wouldn't. She's doing all the things she told Mark she would never do, but she's becoming the woman, the lover, that she's meant to be.

Really liked this - it captured Olivia's conflicted emotions over it all and managed to say a lot with not so many words.

Nice work!
