Summary: Sam thinks about 'what if.'



Sam finds it hard to not think of the ‘what ifs.’

Things would have been so much better for him if Bill Compton would have never arrived here. Sam may have had a chance with Sookie if she hadn’t been drawn in by these creatures, and just maybe someday Sam would have gained the courage to pursue her.

She could have been in love with him right now, and her grandmother could have still been alive. (Sookie would have preferred that.)

But it’s too late now; he’s lost her, and Sam has to only to hope for another chance.

I agree with Sam, they should have been together from the start. I love Eric/Sookie (Bill is just gaahhh! he's so not in the picture in my head... at all). Yrt, Sam/Sookie ist so natural and would be so sweet and beautiful!!!

I feel the same as you. I like Eric/Sookie too, never warmed up to Bill too much, but the idea of Sam/Sookie seems like a good end result to me. :)

I'm so behind on the TV series, so I don't typically read your stuff but I have seen Season 1 and am only 1 book behind ... so I read this one.

So sad. I've always had a soft spot for Sookie/Sam, he's kind of the Riley of this 'verse. (And I liked Riley, so I don't mean that in a bad way.)

I realize he's a shifter, but by the time she found out it was too late really for him to stand much of a chance next to Bill.
