Thor x Merlin, "Tricky Favors" Loki/Morgana | rated PG

Fandoms: Thor(movie), Merlin
Title: Tricky Favors
Author: Paynesgrey
Characters/Pairings: Morgana, Loki, hinted Loki/Morgana
Word Count: 300
Rated: PG
Warnings: None.
Spoilers: Thor movie, Merlin Series 4 series finale "The Sword in the Stone, Part 2"
Notes: Written for the "sticky" prompt for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic_bakeoff. It just sort of happened and turned out cracky and a bit interesting.

Summary: Someone unexpected finds Morgana in the forest.

“Oh, poor girl, quite a sticky situation you’ve gotten yourself into,” said a voice behind her. Morgana darted her head to the source and glared into green eyes.

“Trickster,” she said harshly.

“Witch,” he said with a light bow. He was still smirking at her, watching her as she tried to pull herself up off the ground. Morgana peered skyward.

“That dragon...” She tilted her head curiously. “Was it yours?’

“Hrmm, not mine,” he said absently. “You know, I dealt with your predecessor. She wasn’t as weak and inept as this.”

Morgana’s eyes flashed angrily. “Do not speak of my sister,” she warned, but Morgana’s mood changed as quickly as the wind, and she smiled at him. “Loki, won’t you be a dear and help me?”

“Help you? Oh, yes, your magic has been bound,” Loki said.

“Unbind it then,” she bit out acidly. “Please.”

“The great Morgana Pendragon, Morgan Le Fay to the Druids, asks for my help? You are aware of the consequences of such a request?” Loki laughed as he approached her and knelt close. He slid a finger under her chin. She did not pull away, only challenged his stare.

“As you can see, I am helpless to this spell. You know it was Emrys,” she admitted bitterly.

“Do I?” he asked, and Morgana bit her lip.

“Very well, but you owe me Morgana Pendragon, and as your sister learned, owing someone like me a favor will not be easy.”

Morgana held up her head resolutely. “I have nothing else to lose.”

Loki smirked at her. He tapped her nose playfully before disappearing into the ether. By nightfall, Morgana could feel her magic returning, yet there was a grating ache within her bones, reminding her of the debt Loki would collect from her someday.

Oooh, nicely done! Makes me feel a bit for Morgana. Makes me want to go watch Thor, too... New fandom, here I come.

*Nice*! I would love to see more interactions between these two delightfully twisted and rather haunted characters. The fact that you've hinted at similar interactions between Morgause and Loki is brilliant.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for reading!

Alas, word count limits in contests make it difficult for too much interaction, but I like the idea enough that I might explore these two again someday.

:D

Haven't seen Thor but I liked that Loki showed up, trickster that he is.

Really, ANY versions of these two interacting would be fun, if a lot different in tone depending on what version you picked, but movie!Loki is my favorite and I really like the dynamic between these two.
